This one's for Lisa!

Lisa has been driving me crazy trying to get me to make another post since the day after my last one. So I guess I can do it now...

I guess things have been somewhat more interesting than normal around here. Last week we had my sisters 4 children, ranging in age from 13 months-9 years. They were here from Aug. 2 - Aug. 6. Luckily, for me, Steven was here to help with them the whole time. It was kind of nice cause we took turns waking up with the baby in the night and then waking up with the kids in the morning. Steven was much nicer than I was though...cause the morning he got to sleep in I woke him up at 9:30 and when it was my turn to sleep in he let me sleep until I woke up...at 10:30ish? We spent a lot of time with Steven's family while they were here cause he has two young sisters that the kids could play with. One day we spent swimming ALL day and the next we went to Chucky Cheese and McDonald's. I think they had fun. Joanna came to pick them up Tuesday night...but didn't want to drive back home in the dark, so she spent the night and they left Wednesday morning. When she got here the kids had a total melt down and she was kind of embarrassed. I told her that it's normal for kids to do that when they go back to their parents after a long trip. I reassured her that they weren't like that at all while we had them. Needless to say it was interesting to go from being 5 months pregnant with no children...to 5 months pregnant with 4 children. I don't know if I'll ever want to do that again though. It was a lot to handle. Steven and I are glad that our children will be coming one at a time!!!!!

Because we drive a Honda Civic we had to trade cars with Joanna and Ryan so that their children, Steven and I could all fit. I guess when Joanna and Ryan were on their way home they stopped at Target to pick up some things and they had a friend who needed a jump. So they were good Samaritans and helped jump this friend's car...but this friend of theirs apparently is ignorant or something and put the cables on backwards to our battery (he had the negative terminals hooked up to the positive terminals). Which, if you did not know, only drains out both batteries and can short out both cars, frying the computers and costing thousands of dollars. He finally realized something was wrong and switched it to the proper way to jump a car. Somehow both cars started? Then on Wednesday when Steven went to work, he said that he had some trouble getting the car to start. Luckily, I bought a Mighty Mite a few years ago. A Mighty Mite is a self battery jumper. It's great for people like me who hate to ask for help! So we've been using that for a couple days now. Steven's dad also had a battery charger that we tried and it has helped some, but not enough to where we don't have to buy a new battery. So we finally get paid tomorrow (a week and a half after the incident) and will be making a trip to Auto Zone for a new battery. We are just praying that the new battery fixes the other electrical problems that have gone wrong with our car since this incident. So Steven and I are praying for a miracle that we don't have to come up with thousands of dollars to pay for a problem on our car that someone else made. I bought a new car so I wouldn't have to spend time worrying about this kind of stuff. We will never be trading cars with anyone ever again. I am grateful though that our car is at least running. I'm crossing my fingers that this experience does not ruin my car that should have been fine with tires and oil changes for the next 5 years. We'll see.

So on to another tragic story...I'm only 5 months pregnant and my feet, ankles and hands are super swollen. My hands aren't too bad...my wedding ring just doesn't fit anymore. And as far as my feet go...they barely fit into the crocs I just bought. But let me tell ya...Crocs make a world of difference on my sad swollen feet. About 2 weeks ago my feet were so swollen and throbbing that I basically cried myself to sleep. I didn't know how bad my feet could hurt just from being pregnant!

On a happier note...I will soon be getting a new ring to cover my naked finger. I have one picked out...but won't get it for about a month. It's pretty though!

And on the HAPPIEST note...Steven has next week off from work! We're super excited because he's been working A LOT of overtime so we can get ahead and actually get some nice baby things! YAY! But we are very excited to have some more time together. We're gonna totally clean up the back yard...It's super high on weed! Haha! It's so bad I think I'm finally going to order a green bin.
